When Benjamin Franklin was in his mid teens and he was working
as an apprentice at his brother's newspaper, he wrote a number of
letters, signing them "Mrs. Silence Dogood."
Among other things, Benjamin Franklin is remembered for
publishing Poor Richard's Almanack. The name Poor Richard is widely
regarded as a pen name or alias for him.
