When Benjamin Franklin was in his mid teens and he was working as an apprentice at his brother's newspaper, he wrote a number of letters, signing them "Mrs. Silence Dogood."

Among other things, Benjamin Franklin is remembered for publishing Poor Richard's Almanack. The name Poor Richard is widely regarded as a pen name or alias for him.
