The Pulstar plugs have exceeded my expectations. well i have a 2000 Chevy z71 with the 323ci (5.3l) and am getting anywhere from 17 - 19 mpg on the freeway. just depends on how fast traffic will let me drive. around town it dropps drasticaly, say 10-12 mpg. i have made the fallowing modifycations- k&n cold air intake, hypertech max power programer, and new flowmaster exaust from the y-pipe back. its still getting the same mpg as stock but there is noticeably more power. still need after market MAS,throttle body, and hi flow cats. if you havent heard of pulstar spark plugs then you need to check out their web site at pulstar.com. expensive but sounds pretty promising if you want to add other after market parts to help with gas mileage. another website to check out is water4gas.com.
