more surface area of spark equals wider spark gap which requires higher voltage to make a spark across the gap
Pulsar plugs help get better fuel economy, better torque, easier starting, and lower emissions. Most mechanics recommend the Pulstar plugs.

Actually , there are no spark plugs in a diesel engine
Remove the spark plug wire from the spark plug. Use some heavy gloves or a set of insulated pliers to hold the spark plug wire about 1/4-inch from the engine block (ground) and crank the engine - you should see a spark jump from the wire to the engine ground. For a better check, use another spark plug and put it on the spark plug wire and use it as a "jumper" from the wire to the engine ground.
If you mean that the wire came out of the boot, then pull the boot off of the spark plug and use a spark plug socket to remove the spark plug.

To change the spark plugs in a Chevy Celebrity: 1. Give the spark plug boot a twist to free it up from the spark plug, then pull on the boot to remove the spark plug wire from the spark plug. 2. Use a 5/8" spark plug socket with an extension and ratchet or breaker bar to loosen then remove the spark plug. 3. Set the gap on the new plug to .045" then screw it back into the spark plug hole in the head. Tighten the spark plug and replace the spark plug wire. I change the spark plugs one at a time to keep from getting the spark plug wires on the wrong spark plug.

There is a special easy out for this. If it cant be used or the remains of the plug still wont come out then the head will have to be removed and the spark plug removed from the inside. A machinist may be better suited to do this if you end up having to take your engine apart.
Give the spark plug boot a twist to free it from the spark plug then pull it off of the spark plug by the boot.
