A red itchy lump on the skin that is about the size of a penny and which is raised slightly is most probably some type of bug bite. If the lump does not go away after about a week, consult your physician.

A lump on the back of your head that is itchy may be from an inset bite. If the lump does not go away, visit a doctor.
