nitrogen dioxide
Ask Nga shes the smartest person ever.
You think probably to sublimation of iodine.
You Tell me
Yes, but it is quite affective cut in half with water. Otherwise it can be sticky on the floor.
The molecule that contains one nitrogen atom for two oxygen atoms is NO2 or nitrogen dioxide. This compound is one of several oxides of nitrogen, and it is a primary constituent of air pollution, where we most commonly encounter it. NO2 appears in vehicular exhaust, and is responsible for a good portion of the "haze" that we often call smog. We know nitrogen is the major constituent of atmospheric gas at about 80%, and oxygen is about 20%. (Yes, that equals 100%, and there are other things in air, but this is a ball park estimate cited to answer and add a little information to speak to this question.) Let's look at the pollution a bit.The oxygen is used when the fuel is burned in the engines, but the nitrogen is heated and left largely uncombined in the combustion process. Though most all the oxygen in the air in the combustion chambers is combined to burn the fuel, the fuel is not completely burned, so we use emission control systems. Air injected by the "smog pump" on cars forces air into the exhaust headers. The idea is to provide oxygen to unburned (but very hot) partially combusted fuel and get it to "completely" oxidize to reduce the emissions. But the oxygen also combines with the hot nitrogen in the exhaust stream to create the nitrogen dioxide. It turns out that NO2 has a reddish brown color to it, and if you look at an urban sky where stagnant air results from impaired atmospheric circulation, the sky takes on a reddish brown (a "dirty brown") look because of the nitrogen dioxide concentrating in that air. Though nitrogen dioxide is a common industrial chemical produced as an intermediary in a number of reactions, it is in the form of air pollution that we most frequently encounter it. the colour of haze is purple. the colour of hazel is brown.
Brown gases include:Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) - Reddish brownBronime (Br2) - Yellowish BrownFluorine - Brownish yellowBromine (vapor) - Brownish redBromine monochloride - Reddish brownIodine monochloride (vapor) - BrownCarbon particulate haze - BrownBrown's Gas (Oxyhydrogen) is a mixture of hydrogen and oxygen used in welding. It is not coloured.
The type of smog that produces the brown haze is known as a photochemical smog. This is seen when oil or coal is burned.
yes ma'am!(:
car exhaust or waves
car exaust
its stupid thats wat it is.....
smog.
Smog is a brown haze that causes harmful chemicals such as ozone.
Hair: Brown Eyes: Haze/Green in this link his eyes look blue though check it out and zoom in close http://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/_/31266993/Jason+Mraz+jasonmraz.jpg Birthday: June 23, 1977
Brown haze from soot, soil erosion, volcanic ash.
