There are a few types of relationships with organisms, and all aid in the grand ecosystem we call earth.
The first is mutualism: This is where both organisms benefit from each other. An example would be a clownfish and sea anemones. The clownfish is given a home as well as protection, while the sea anemone is given a higher opportunity to feed on the predators against the clownfish.
Competition is another example: This is when two species are in competition for one food source. A prime example is Hyenas and Lions. Both species go after similar food therefore are often fighting for hunting grounds.
Commensalism is the relationship of organisms, in which one benefits, while the other is not harmed. Take a barnical for instance. It is allowed a free ride on a whale, while the whale is not harmed at all.
The final relationship is parasitism, where one organism feeds on another organism (i.e. one is harmed). An example of this would be a tapeworm in a human. The tapeworm does not kill the human, but feeds off him.
The relationship between two organisms that rely on each other for survival is called a symbiotic relationship.
It is a relationship between two organisms in which one benefits and the other is unharmed.
Mutualism is a relationship between two organisms where both organisms benefit in some way, Commensalism is a relationship between two organisms where one organism benefits and the other is neither harmed nor benefited, parasitism is a symbiotic relationship between two organisms where one organism benefits while the other is harmed.
commensalism
A Parasitic Relationship.
This type of symbiotic relationship is called commensalism.
Parasitism
it is a class of relationship between two organisms where one organism benefits but the other is unaffected.xoxo!.elirot..:)
It is a symbiotic relationship called commensalism
A Mutualistic relationship between organisms is a relationship by which both organisms benefit from the other. An example of this would be the hippopotamus and the Oxpecker (bird). The birds sit on the hippo's back, getting free food by eating parasites that bother the hippo, while the birds are protected by the hippopotamus. - Dabigb such relationship is called symbiosis. Symbiotic Symbiosis/mutualism. mutualism
Ecology is the study of interactions between organisms and their environment. THis includes interactions organisms have with each other, as well as their abiotic environment. Ecologists often cover diversity, distribution, population of organisms, as well as the competition between them and among ecosystems.
The relationship between organisms is generally referred to as symbiosis. A symbiotic relationship where both organisms benefit is called mutualism (co-operation is the term used when mutualistic behaviours occurs between member of the same species). Other types of symbiosis are parasitism (one benefits and the other is adversely affected) and commensalism (one benefits and the other is neither positively nor negatively affected)
