Commutator
How do I get to the reversing light switch on a Toyota avensis 2005
Its strength can be easily manipulated (e.g. you can switch it off). Or the strength can be varied with the current. Electromagnets can reverse polarity (by reversing the current).
dynamo
It's called a 'split-ring commutator'. It changes the naturally-produced a.c. into d.c.
The switch is turned on to activate the electromagnet, and metal is attracted. Turning off the switch stops the electromagnet from working, and metal is no longer attracted.
An electromagnet is a magnet that runs on electricity. Unlike a permanent magnet, the strength of an electromagnet can easily be changed by changing the amount of electric current that flows through it. The poles of an electromagnet can even be reversed by reversing the flow of electricity.
a part of the earths structure causes it to act like an electromagnet
dynamo
The device is known as a "motor".
Top of gear box.
the switch is located on top of the gearbox, under the airfilterbox
The reversing light switch for a Honda CR-V is located at the front lower part of the transmission. It is almost at the bottom of the transmission, but up front.
