no his father is not dead if you look close in an episode hes walking in the hall. Actually he is, Because he sacrificed himself to seal kyuubi in naruto using the reapers jutsu wich needs a sacrificant. If ur sure of what you say, please tell me wich episode. lol his father really appears in an episode walking in the hall, but that was an OVA episode, so it doesnt count, that episode was made just for fun, cause in that vid you see tayuya alive and you see itachi and kisame walking the same hall as yondaime and tayuya among many other dead nins, but Yondaime is really dead No his father is not dead and neither is his mother. after sealing the nine tailed fox naruto's father (yodaime) moved VERY far away and created the akatsuki. In the end he fights naruto and loses (in the battle naruto's mom tried to help naruto but died in the battle) His father is dead, he says so when a bit of him that was also sealed inside naruto tells naruto about the 9 tails incident, and he says that Tobi was the one who controled the nine tailed fox too, and Minato never joined akatsuki, where you got this info?, neither in the manga or anime Minato has been shown alive or joining akatsuki, many call pain minato, but they ain't related, at least hasn't been shown to be related so far, so you can only predict, but they ain't related, and just so you know, Pain is also dead, all six of them died against naruto, and kushina, well she, she hasn't been shown!, just on flashbacks, but many think she dead, Only Masachi Kishimoto can tell though, but Minato AINT of akatsuki, neither founded it, that's fan fic so far, just like the Tobi= Obito theory, just fan predictions, but hasn't been proved, and maybe wont cause obito got crushed by a rock, and not even a hokage could help him. so to put it clear, Minato=/= member of akatsuki nor founder. He's dead.
