I started in the gun business in 1972 in Texas. The Savage 110D rifles I sold were of good quality, depending on how you define quality. It is one of the ugliest modern bolt action rifles I have ever seen but it gets the job done. It might even be considered the poor man's bolt action hunting rifle...the meat getter. It works and works well. I sold many 110's. Some were half minute of angle some were 2.5 minute rifles, but all of them could be tuned-up to shoot one inch groups if you could afford it. Naturally, if you had to pay to tune one up you might as well have bought a Remington 700 for less than the cost of gunsmithing. They had little to no defects and those were minor. But if you are not a "rifle snob" then the 110D was an excellent working rifle. You should be able to get from $265 to $325 for your 110D in '06 without a scope depending on the condition.
