How do you replace a radiator in 1996 Sl2 Saturn how difficult is this?
i had to do this a few days ago all u really have to do is first drain the coolant, then move the intake out of the way , there are three screws hold it down.after that there is a hose that was kinda under the intake you need to remove that so you can get the cooling fan out once you have that done you have to remove the cooling fan there is a screw on the right side of it the rest of the cooling fan just pops out(DO NOT REMOVE THE HOSES that may get in the way of removing the cooling fan those are to ur ac so un less u don't want that to work the don't do it). then u need to get under and remove the plastic covers that protect the radiator there are some scerw behind the radiator u need to remove these cause they stupidly attached the ac cooler thing to the radiator . after u remove thos u should be fine. there are also some screws and up at the top of the radator that keep it from move around after u remove those and the last hose that's connects to the radiator it should just pull out. after that u just put the new one in and put every thing back.
How do you replace the front turn signal bulb located on a 1989 Honda Accord LXi?
My freind, let me start off by saying that I am not a mechanic... Although I have just purchased a 1989 Honda Accord and needed to change the front left turn signal bulb. I started off by prying at the lense, This is a huge No No!! On my Accord directly under the lense is a panel that pops out. After I pulled this panel I got on the ground and looked up into the hole. What I saw was a white piece of styrofoam looking "block". In this block was a hole with a Phillips head screw. I turned the scerw and the lense became loose. I continue to turn the screw until I was able to remove the whole lense assembly. Then I was able to access the burned out bulb. I reversed the steps and now the bulb works.Here is what I did on my 1988 Accord1. Open the retractable headlights.2. Remove the plastic shroud around the headlight: two screws in front and one on each side.3. Look to the outside of the headlight and you will see a single screw in a small plastic cover on the front inside edge of the signal light assembly. The headlight prevents you from getting at the screw straight-on. I broke it loose with an offset Phillips screwdriver, and then backed it out with a regular Phillips.4. Remove the plastic cover, and you will see two screws. Remove them.5. Now you can pull the turn signal assembly forward and out.6. To remove the bulb holders from the assembly, twist counterclockwise and pull out.7. Pull straight outward to remove the bulbs.To assemble, follow the steps in reverse. Note that there are two plastic rods on the back end of the turn signal assembly that you will insert into two holes in the channel of the fender.
97 Grand Cherokee tailgate will not lock?
Jeep Cherokee 1997 liftgate, tailgate, rear door, have a '97 model that had a broken tailgete. There was a connecting rod that had come loose between the handle and the latch. The dealer charged $68.00 to reconnect it last week. It worked 3 times and now it's broke again. Bummer... The dealer will get another shot at it this week. 96JGC OK, I found some time after work to play with this tailgate. First, I got in the back of the jeep, took the two screws out of the back panel just below the window. Next, I pulled the panel back so I could reach my hand down between the panel and the tailgate. Be careful not to pull back to far as you can break the plastic panel. Next, locate the rod that goes to the latch and pull it up. Bingo, the gate will open. Next, I removed the screws around the bottom half of the inside panel. You will also find a scerw in the top corner of the carpet on both sides. They will have to be removed as well. Run your finger around the top corners and you should find the. You WILL NOT SEE THEM.Once removed, Then pull the panel off. No need to remove the top half of panel. It will take a little muscle because the panel has snap pins holding the inside panel to the tailgate. Once removed,take care to remove the noise insulation from the tailgate. It is going to be tough to peel off because of the adhesive they use, but it will come off. Now you have access to the lock and rods. All I found wrong with mine is the lack of use allowed some grime to build up on the release. Some good cleaning with WD40 and the parts shine like new and work just as well as new. Hope this info helps. Really an easy fix. the tailgate problem is because they used some half assed mechanism to open the hatch, its basically a small bolt with rigdes on it and a split piece of metal that grabs the ridges. so after a few hundred time of opening it, the ridges get warn off. you need to take the interior door panel off (there is screws all around the top, side, and on th front covered by carpet usually), i just wrapped wire around the bolt and split piece of metal to hold it together. left front noise is most likely the axel, you gotta replace 'em Yes, I too did not find it "easy" but I did eventually get it (after donating some blood to my car). I lubed everything up that I could get to. I think the biggest problem is that stupid metal clip and the rod that it is supposed to hold on to. Mine had come off all together. So as I reassembled everything I put the rod in place and safety wired the snot out of it so it can not pop off again. Side note: I read somewhere about removing the nuts underneath that hold on the striker to open the door. That did not work at all, there was not enough room for the studs to come up through the holes. Then I had to readjust it so the door would not rattle.
How do you add a separate fixture along with a separate switch from an existing switch which has only 2 hot wires coming from the wall that are attached to the 1st switch?
Starting at the switch, with one set of three wires coming in from the service panel and one set of three wires going out to the frist light. Usually you would have a black wire for hot, white for neutral and a bare wire for ground. --The black wire coming in and the black wire going out are fastened to the screws on the side of the switch. one on each scerw. You can use either wire for either screw but not the odd green screw that is for ground. --The two white wires are wire nutted together. --The two bare wires are twisted together and are also fastened to the odd Green screw. Some building codes require a small metal ring that looks likes a brass farrow to be used to crimp the to ground wires together. -----At the light box; --The black wires will all be wire nutted together. There should be three black wires, one from the switch, one to go out to the next light and one from the light fixture. --The three white wires like the black all get wire nutted together. One coming from the switch, one going out to the next light and one from the light fixture. --The two bare ground wires get twisted together and fastened also to a green ground screw. This green grounding screw may be on a metal bar that the light fixture is mounted to. ----Just repet the above for each light you are going to install. At the last light you will do the same, but will have one less wire of each color to hook up.
