We have owned two schnoodles over the years and sadly neither one has lived past 11 years. We have taken excellent care of them both, but it seems that they have a genetic tendency to have heart valve problems. We had a veterinarian cardiologist for both and they confirmed that this does seem to run in schnoodles. I don't know, but it might help to carefully select your breeder as we acquired both of ours from individual owners. They are the most amazing dogs in that they possess a wonderful disposition, incredible inquisitiveness, and were the most "human like" of any dogs we have had over the many years we've owned "pets". To us, they were wonderful companions and dear, delightful friends! I highly recommend them even if they don't live as long as some breeds as they truly were an amazing blessing in our lives!

∙ 14y agoThe average lifespan is 15 years. That means some live even longer. I have a Schnoodle named "Snickers" and I hope she lives a long, long time. Ohhhh...... really I have a schnoodle named Lexi and she is 1 year old! Thanks for the info!
