seeds are packets of information sent from seeders. a torrent works by having one master copy of a file send out different segments of itself to people, those people then send their own unique segments of the file to others downloading it until all downloaders posses the complete file and they may choose to continue giving out copies of parts of the file to new downloaders.
A seed is a client (a person) that has a complete copy of whatever torrent you`re downloading. Once your torrent is done downloading it will remain open until you close it (This is known as being a seed or seeding).
Lots of seeds = Faster downloads! So keep seeding !!!
You can take a look at my blog for a complete explanation of torrents

Seeding is essentially the procedure of linking to a torrent when you have a complete file downloaded or stored on your machine.
Basically, the more seeders there are on a torrent file the faster the torrent download will become. When an individual downloads a torrent, he/she is not downloading the torrent from the actual site you get it from. You are downloading it off another user that has it stored on their computer.
Torrents are measured in pieces, and the total number of pieces are in relation to the size of the torrent. The objective of BitTorrent is for the downloader (called the leacher in BitTorrent lingo) to get all of the pieces that make up a torrent. All users who have the torrent open make up what is called a swarm.
Technically, a seeder is someone who has 100-percent of the pieces that make up the torrent. Initially, the first few leachers within a swarm feed off the seeder. Not all the leachers download all the pieces from the seeder; the idea is for an even distribution of different pieces across the swarm, and then the leachers can share the already downloaded pieces amongst themselves. As more and more leachers join the swarm, the less the swarm as a whole need to rely on the seeder.
Once 100-percent of the pieces have been uploaded by the seeder, the seeder can leave the swarm, allowing the other members of the swarm to continue exchanging pieces with each other until they have 100-percent of the pieces. Once a leacher reach 100-percent, he will become a seeder. And so on and so on...
It isn't a requirement for a torrent to have a seeder within the swarm. As long as the leachers within a swarm collectivelyhave 100-percent of the torrent, leachers can still download 100-percent of the torrent. For example, let's say you're 75-percent completed, and there are no seeders in the swarm to get more pieces. Then, a leacher joins the swarm, and he has 55-percent. Although he doesn't have 100-percent, he does in fact have all 25-percent of the pieces you need. You grab the 25-percent from that leacher, and at the same time you start giving him whatever pieces you have that he doesn't have. And eventually, both of you together can reach 100-percent.
A seeder is a user who has completed downloading the torrent and is only uploading. Seeding is always recommended, this way the torrent stays working and speeds remain high.
Seeds are people who have completely downloaded the torrent and are only uploading, and peers are the ones still downloading it.
Seeds are people who have already downloaded the torrent, and are seeding, ie re-uploading the torrent to decrease download times.
More seeds=faster, healthier torrent.

If a torrent has no seeds it can not be downloaded.
Initially in a torrent if there are no active member the server, or person who initialized the torrent will wait until there are peers to download the file, upload the file to them, who in turn then become seeds.
Have speed internet connection.Download torrent file which has more seeds from u-torrent

In bittorrent "seeds" are people who have 100% of the content associated with a torrent and are sharing it with others.
TORRENT AT MININOVA, BUT THE SEEDS IS TOO SMALL.COME ON BRO, PLZ SEEDS!!
To increase torrent download is to download a torrent which has more seeds than leeachers. To add more trackers to increase seeds is to copy the hash code and paste it in torrentz.eu, then find the trackers and copy them in your torrent. Google this if you get stuck. People try to increase internet speeds with softwares and tweaks but they dont work. Trust me. You can always port forward your torrent software. If you dont know how to do this, go to portforward.com or google port forward torrent software.
Go to www.mininova.org to dowload albums, movies, etc in torrent. Make sure that you choose more "seeds" for faster downloads. :-)SummergraceyORYou can get an invite to almost all torrent sites here: http://www.torrentauction.com
In bittorrent, a "swarm" is the group of people active on the torrent. This includes those that have 100% of the content associated with the torrent (seeds) and those who do not have 100% (peers). Azureus-Wiki: This Funny Word: Swarm http://wiki.vuze.com/w/This_funny_word#Swarm
There are two conditions for a rapid and vigorous torrent 1 - must be content quality 2 - it must remain held seeds for the longest - at least until the end of the download - There are many torrent sites but most are not effective In my opinion best is kickasstorrents
Seeds and Peers are typically terms used when discussing the uploading and downloading of torrents. Seeds are the number of people who have downloaded the entire torrent and are seeding it for others to download. Peers are the number of people who are downloading it at a given time. Once you finish downloading, you automatically become a seeder until and unless you remove the torrent from your downloads list.
