The US Mint did not issue any silver coins of any kind in 1980. If you have silver coins dated 1980, they are not US coins.
There are two different sets of coins released by the US Mint every year. The uncirculated coin set contains one coin of each denomination from the Philadelphia mint and Denver mint. There were two proof sets issued in 1987. The regular proof set is worth $11.00. The 'Prestige' proof set which included the 'Constitution Dollar' is worth $45.00.
No US proof coins were made from 1943 to 1949. The set can only be a privately assembled set of coins that may be high grade uncirculated examples. Each coin would have to be graded and given a value.

If it has 10 coins and is 90% silver it is worth around $75. These prices are as of 9/11. You may get more or less depending on when, where and who you sell them to.
