What should you do to get skunk smell off your dog?

Here is a great method: 1 Quart of 3 percent Hydrogen Peroxide 1/4 Cup Baking Soda 1 Teaspoon of Dish Soap (breaks up the oils in the skunk spray... the baking soda and peroxide take care of the smell). This will fizz when mixed so use it right away. It will explode if you try to store it, so make only what you will use. You can always make more if you need it. Use like a shampoo. Work into the dog's coat thouroughly, but be careful of the dog's eyes. Use a wash cloth around the eyes. Rise thouroughly. This works great and it is really cheap to make. One application de-skunked a dog hit at point blank range!!! Jerry
