A law school graduate who has not passed the bar exam is typically referred to as a "law school graduate" or "JD" (Juris Doctor) holder, but they are not yet a licensed attorney. They may also be described as a "bar candidate" or "bar examinee" while they prepare for and attempt the bar exam. Without passing the bar, they cannot practice law or represent clients in legal matters.

AIB certificates, or "All India Bar Examination" certificates, are issued to candidates who successfully pass the AIB exam in India. This exam is mandatory for law graduates who wish to practice law in various states across the country. The certificate serves as proof of the candidate's qualification to practice law and is essential for obtaining a license from the respective State Bar Council.
There is a railing or bar that seperates the court room from the participants in the trial and the gallery or general public. Lawyers that are authorized to act in court are called 'before the bar.'
A felony is not an absolute barrier to be admitted to the bar in any state, although it may prohibit a number of employment opportunities. The bar selection committee would review the candidate as a whole, including law school and undergrad transcripts, references, credit history, and a number of other factors in addition to the criminal history. The committee is willing to consider that the candidate had turned his/her life around, but the evidence would need to be there.
