Halloween is a devil's holiday, not a Christian observance. The founder of the church of Satan said that by dressing up, either by wearing a costume or coloring oneself for Halloween, is tantamount to worshipping the devil.
Actually, the Church did not become associated with Halloween, Halloween is the descendant of people who were celebrated the vigil of All Saints Day, or in old English, All Hallow's Eve. Thus our modern Halloween comes from a Church celebration.

By Russian tradition, Halloween has been just a day in an Orthodox Church Calendar, and it is not celebrated like in USA.
The Church/Bible created Halloween! It was made to mimic the pagan Celt holiday of Samhain (original Halloween). All of this stuff about witches and devils is mostly a western addition.
In H20 she works at a private school, but there's nothing about a church in any of the movies.

Jehovah's Witnesses do not observe or celebrate Halloween. If Halloween happens to fall on the same day as their regular attendance at their meeting places (Kingdom Halls as opposed to churches) then they will still attend as normal.
Halloween seems to be on a very church to church basis. Some Presbyterian churches celebrate it as Halloween. Some Presbyterian churches celebrate alternative holidays such as harvest festivals. Other Presbyterian churches do not do anything for that date.
