5 But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar among the people.
The Feast of the Passover was a sacred day for the Jews. It was a time when death came upon families of the Romans and killed all of their first born. The wicked priests dare not arrest Jesus on that day lest the people complained, so they only layed plans to take Christ.
