A play, as I understand it with two (one superimposed) )Plot lines. For example something akin to I"m just making this up a Naval Drama akin to the Caine Mutiny where the deck officers have Italian names- and they are trying to unseat a Commander Pope before damage gets out of hand- seems somebody is going after deck boys! that- with implied satire on the church situation, might be classed as Surrealistic drama. Surreal is from the French and means Above or on top of Real ( Above reality, so to speak).lt was more commonly applied to visual art, and an album by the Jefferson Airplane- the Surrealistic Pillow. often in drama, characters are defined vaguely out-of-focus.. and there are two plot lines going at once, one concealed from the audience.
