Terrarium moss I don't know about- I doubt it would do well in the water. I'd recommend Elodea- you can buy a bunch of it at the pet store, then just bury the end in the aquarium gravel. If the point is to keep the adults from eating any of the fry, I'd go for a net specially made for this purpose (female goes in net in empty aquarium, fry swim out of net, female goes back in main tank) which is also really easy to get ahold of at a pet store.
At the Home Depot where I live there is a whole section of small plants. Get plants that can live together under the same conditions. If you van only fit one plant into your terrarium then bonsai is a good plant. Hope this helped!
