Of course sports car manufactures like Porsche do not do this, and a few(very few!) MB models either have the limiter set higher or offer a factory option to do so; but that generally is for the seriously powerful AMG models only. And while the C55 is a pretty powerful car, it isn't in the same league as the supercharged 55's or the 6.3 liter engine and nowhere near the twin turbo V12's.
