A turn down attendant is a hotel job that doesn't require education or experiences but makes a hotel staffs team job easier.It makes sure that all rooms,especially the rooms of customers that checked out late are all ready and in top shape.The turn down attendant is alerted in such situation & sent to those certain rooms to fill the frig,to replacce the linens if used,clean up,refresh the room,change towels,soap,arrange the room the way the room attendant had it earlier in the day at the regular time.
Hotel guests happen to miss flight,reshedule their appointments or just stay longer than their arranged check out time for some reasons or another so it's the turn down attendat job who will be called to check that room to make it ready by the hotel standard so it can be rented out again.This is because it will take time & it's a loss of manpower to call the whole regular cleaning crew or room service from another floor or other end of the hotel to go back & do the job.
