Small startup ice cream shops can be varied depending on products to be sold, soft serve vs hand dipped. A used soft serv machine generates more profit because your doing the work, making, serving, cleaning machine A decent used machine will cost you $2500.00 - $4,000. need cooler to keep mix, whipped cream milk .$1,000 Hot fudge warmer caramel warmer, $250.00 each Blizzard machine, Shake machine each about $300.00 add store fixtures, tables $5,000. . Recently mix prices have gone up because of transportation cost. Typically a gallon of mix costs $6.50 and should generate approx. $50.00 in sales Don't forget cost of cups spoons,cones,,topping, mix ins add$2000.00. Another method is to sell hand dipped ice cream, You do not have to mix anything, You need a freezer to hold you ice cream, so co. will supply the freezer if you buy their product. the other cost tremain the same.
