In this procedure, the doctor uses a device called a vacuum extractor, placing a large rubber or plastic cup against the baby's head. A pump creates suction that gently pulls on the cup to ease the baby down the birth canal.

if it is hard to press on the brakes it usually indicates that you have a malfunctioning brake booster. Since brake boosters are vacuum assisted, it could also be that you have a disconnected vacuum hose or a leaking hose.
"Power Brakes" are actually "vacuum assisted brakes", meaning that a vacuum diaphragm is used to provide additional force against the brake pedal as you attempt to stop your vehicle. If the engine vacuum has decreased, through wear, timing issues or because of a vacuum leak, there will be considerably less of the vacuum assist available when you stop your vehicle. First, check for a vacuum leak, and make certain that you include the vacuum assist module. If there are no vacuum leaks, check the vacuum that the engine is creating; if that's not the problem then you may have a leaking or damaged master cylinder.
Remove the hydroboost unit from the firewall and replace it with the vacuum assisted booster. If you are careful you may be able to do this without disconnecting the brake lines. You will need new powersteering lines and find a vacuum source for the new booster.
I'm sure there are medical names, but I would call it an 'assisted birth'.
Power assist has a brake booster, which is a vacuum assisted unit. I dont know the exact formula for the multiplying of force, but it at least doubles the effort of the drivers effort on the pedal. Power operated....bend the steering wheel to stop if you're not ready.
