There are four valves in the human heart. They are the:
1. Tricuspid valve
2. Pulmonary valve
3. Mitral valve ( also known as bicuspid valve)
4. Aortic valve
Answer
There are two valves in your heart. Between the Rightatrium and ventricle there lies an AV-valve (A=atrium) (V=ventricle) hence the name AV-valve. It's also called like tricuspid valve... but i learned it the AV-valve.
K so that's one valve. The function is to help blood flow smoothly from the atria's to the ventricles and stop the back flow of blood.
There is another valve between the Left atrium and ventricle called Semi-lunar valve
because apparently some scientist thought the valves look like "semi-lunar" moons.
Anyway, it can also be call the Bicuspid valve. But Semi-lunar valve is the way i learned it.
The function is the same, as any other valves in our body.
The only valves are in veins and our heart.
Just think about it...
The biggest valve of your heart is called the aortic valve.
2 Av valves, 2 semilunar, some recessive at coronary veins entrance and inferior vena cava
The most important valve in the heart is Left Atrioventricular Valve. AKA: bicuspid valve (since it has two triangular cusps), or Mitral valve.
is the circolutary system
The Aortic valve.

' Secret ?
The tricuspid valve is located between the right atrium and the right ventricle of the heart. It is the largest of the four valves in the heart.
The valve
The valve between the heart and the aorta is the aortic valve, and the valve between the heart and the pulmonary artery is the pulmonic valve.
There are four valves in the heart--the aortic valve, pulmonary valve, mitral valve, and tricuspid valve--each at the exit of one of the heart's four chambers.

there are 4 heart valves.
Mitral valve
a 1 way valve in the heart that prevents blood from going backwards when the heart contracts
In heart has a four valve the two valve is pump the up and the others valve pump the blood down. heart is pump the blood

There are 2 valves in a sheep's heart. They are the mitral and tricuspid valve. The sheep also has a 4 chamber heart that is very similar to a human heart.
Heart valve replacement is a surgical procedure during which surgeons remove a damaged valve from the heart and substitute a healthy one.
