An independent variable does not change. It is independent of everything else In research, there needs to be a dependant variable.
A control variable is a variable that is held constant in a research analysis.

This variable is chosen by the research team according to the experiment project.
A constant variable in research method is a factors or quantities that never change. Constant variables always remain the same.
It is a fixed cost
Non Experimental Research. Involves studying naturally occurring variation in the dependent and independent variable without any intervention by the researcher.
well it is something that varies but is also able
I think there is confusion between the terms "compounding variable" and "confounding variable". My way of looking at it is that compounding variables describe elements of mathematical functions, only. Confounding variables apply to any research in any domain and are external variables to the research design which might impact on the dependent variable to a lesser or greater extent than the independent variable, which are part of the research design. "Responding" is an adjective that describes the variable. In the context of scientific research, a responding variable is the one that is observed and measured in response to changes in the independent variable.
