A volatile impurity is an impurity that can evaporate easily. Pharmacies use organic volatile impurities to manufacture certain types of drugs.
The definition of non-halogenated volatiles is a compound where a halogen is not attached. They are mainly analysed based on their solubility in water.Ê
The introduction of volatiles, such as water, lowers the melting point of rocks through a process called flux melting. As the volatiles mix with the solid rock, they disrupt the crystal lattice structure and weaken the bonds between atoms. This allows the rock to melt at lower temperatures than it would under normal conditions.
Because they do not have volatiles in them to form a coma as to comets.
a volatile is something changing or changeable. It also has magma which is a water substance.
80% Hydrogen 18% Helium 2% other various volatiles
Partially correct. Pumice forms from rapidly cooling lava containing volatiles (water and gas) and obsidian forms from rapidly cooling lava that doesn't contain volatiles. Bubbles from volatiles are frozen in place and cannot escape before the lava hardens forming pumice. Obsidian and pumice are sometimes found together although obsidian itself is relatively rare.
The National Stock Exchange of India has an index called the Nifty, consisting of 50 large company stocks. The Nifty Volatiles must be the most volatile stocks in that list, or the ones which go up and down the most. In Science, Volatiles are compounds which are the most likely to evaporate. Their molecules are generally lighter and don't stick to each other as much so they're more likely to go flying off.
High temperatures, decreased pressure and the presence of volatiles.
decompression melting and wet melting (the addition of volatiles) :)
Room temperature outgassing of aromatic oils and other volatiles
Yes and no. It was the same material initially when the solar nebula first condensed, however then the sun ignited and cooked the volatiles (e.g. gases, water) out of the material nearby and the solar wind carried those volatiles outward. The material further out retained the original volatiles. The volatile depleted material then formed the four terrestrial planets and the undepleted material then formed the four gas giant planets.
The icy, dusty and gassy volatiles that envelop it and gradually left behind as trail, are lightened by the sun!
