If I am not oversimplifying the question....water based opaque paint is just a latex or acrylic paint or enamel. If it is in reference to painting a structural item, it is the same paint that you would find at the "paint" store or building supply store. If it is in reference to art work, it might be similar paint, but not "watercolor".
