iron is a better thermal conductor but i do not know what you mean by identify independent or dependent variables. in an experiment? i am not sure.

the dependent variable cant change the independent varible, but the independent variable can change the dependent varible. (eg: Bob wants to see if the new baseball pitching machine throws better fastballs then his friend. The baseball pitching machine(independent) could change a fastball(dependent), but a fastball(dependent) cant change the baseball pitching machine(independent).
Most science experiments will have two independent variables. Fundamentally, an experiment will want as few variables as possible for better results.
Independent Variables are changes that occur in an experiment that are directly caused by the experimenter (you.)Dependent Variables are changes that occur due toindependent variables.A Controlled Variable is anything else that could influence the dependent variables.
Larger values of ( r^2 ) indicate that the observations are more closely grouped around the fitted regression line. This suggests a stronger relationship between the independent and dependent variables, meaning that a greater proportion of the variance in the dependent variable can be explained by the independent variable(s). Consequently, a higher ( r^2 ) value reflects better predictive accuracy of the model.
They are experiments which are designed in such a way as to provided maximum information about the effects on the dependent variable of explanatory (independent) variables, separately as well as their interactions, with the smallest number of experimental subjects. Latin squares and Graeco-Latin squares are some of the better known examples.
In my investigation, I should focus on altering the independent variable, as it is the factor that I manipulate to observe its effects on the dependent variable. By systematically changing this variable, I can better understand its impact and draw more accurate conclusions from my data. Additionally, maintaining control over other variables is crucial to ensure that any observed changes are due to the manipulation of the independent variable alone.
In experiments, inputs to a process that can be manipulated include independent variables, which are deliberately changed to observe their effect on dependent variables. These inputs can include factors such as temperature, concentration, pressure, time, and material types. Additionally, environmental conditions like light intensity and humidity can also be adjusted. By controlling these inputs, researchers can better understand the relationships and effects within the system being studied.
The sentence is complex because it contains an independent clause ("the doctor insisted that you remain on bed rest for the remainder of the week") and a dependent clause ("although you felt much better"). The dependent clause cannot stand alone and provides additional information about the independent clause.
Generally scientific experiments investigate the relationships between an independent variable and one or several dependent variables.Independent variables are regulated parameters and the outcome of the experiments do not affect these variables. The dependent variables are those variables which have some sort of relationship with the independent variable and it is the investigators task to determine the nature of this relationship.Any single scientific investigation must regulate only a single independent variable with all other independent variables held constant. This is done so that the investigator can correctly attribute an outcome as being due to the regulation of a single variable. For example, suppose you started watering your potted plants with a saline solution and you also began exposing them to very intense light. If you saw that the plant leaves changed colors you would not know which variable had the greater affect on this color change. Did both variables even affect the leaf or was it due to just one variable? which one? You would have to split the investigation into two investigations, each with a single independent variable.
Getting enough sleep is important for your performance, but there's little to no benefir from sleeping more than that.
