What is a whammy bar?
a bar thats on certain gutiars that you pull up or down to affect the sound of the strings making the strings speed up or slow down creating higher or lower sounding notes.
pulled up loosens the springs causing them to speed up
pushed down causes them to slow down

Can any whammy bar fit in any guitar because I just got a new proline whammy bar and it will not fit into the hole of my ibanez GIO so is there something else you have to do to install a whammy bar?

Occasionally, rock band guitars are made of"cheaper" quality that guitar hero guitars, and the whammy bars is no exuse for cheapness. i expect your friend uses the whammy bar alot. either get professional help, or tighten it yourself. Unfortunately, that's not as easy as it sounds, and , do you really need the whammy bar?
