All deer are wild essentially and its not like a wild horse is a brumby, A wild deer is still a deer and what it is called depends on the species it is eg. Fallow/Red/Mule etc.

There are no native deer in Tasmania, but there are deer farms and certainly plenty of wild deer. The wild deer problem is so extensive that, in January 2010, there were proposals to extend the Tasmanian deer hunting season to try to control the number of wild deer roaming the state.
