They are both the same thing. They are also known as a 3 point turn or broken U turn. When driving on the right: stop on the right side of the road. When the road is clear indicate left and while turning left pull across the roadway. When almost at the other side turn the wheel to the straight ahead position. Look around to ensure road is clear. Indicate right and reverse, turning the wheel to the right. When almost across the roadway turn the wheel to the straight ahead position. Look around to ensure the roadway is clear, indicate left and drive forward and left to the opposite side of the roadway and continue driving. If the instructor or examiner requires you to stop after the maneuver, indicate right and pull to the side of the road and stop where it is permitted. Cancel the indicator.

Driving on the left follows the same method; but substituting left for right, right for left.

What is a y or k turn?

A Y and K turn is the same type of turn. It is sometimes called a broken U turn. This type of turn is a 3-point turn.

If ykx then what is the relationship between k and y?

k is the operator; y is the initiend.

If y varies directly as x and y equals fifteen and when x equals 6 find y when x equals 10?

y = x/k so 15 = 6/k making k = 0.4. when x = 10 y = 10/0.4 ie 25 alternatively y/x = k ie 15/6 = k so k = 2.5; y/10 = 2.5 making y = 25.

If y equals kx then what is the relationship between x y and k?

Various options: y is directly proportional to k, with x as the constant of proportionality; y is directly proportional to x, with k as the constant of proportionality; x is inversely proportional to k, with y as the constant of proportionality; x is directly proportional to y, with 1/k as the constant of proportionality; k is directly proportional to y, with 1/x as the constant of proportionality; and k is inversely proportional to x, with y as the constant of proportionality.

Given y is inversely proportional to x If the difference in the values of y when x 2 and x 6 is 5 How do i find the value of y when x 4?

As y is inversely proportional to x, the equation relating x to y is given by: y = k/x where k is the constant of proportionality. Using this we can find expressions for the value of y when x = 2 and x = 6 in terms of k: x = 2 → y = k/2 x = 6 → y = k/6 The difference between these is k/2 - k/6 = 3k/6 - k/6 = 2k/6 = k/3 But this, we are told is 5; thus: k/3 = 5 → k = 15 Thus y = 15/x Now that we have found the equation relating x to y, we can plug in the value for x = 4 and find the value of y: The value for y when x = 4 is y = 15/4 = 3.75
