Abasiophilia (a-ba-see-o-phee-lee-a) is the medical term for a sexual attraction to persons who have a disability of impared mobility. This includes amputees, people with motive spasticity, people in wheelchairs, people in leg-braces (such as polio). There is recent evidence that abasiophilia is a form of Body Integratey Identity Disorder; a set of medical disorders in which the person with it wishes themselves to have an elective amputation or to become impared in their own mobility and so glorify the condition in others. There exists an active pornography and devotee scene on the internet. The medical cause is unknown and treatment consists of counselling and intervention by psychiatrists. The above mention of BII is only applicable to a very small miniority of so called devotees. Most of us who find amputees extra attractive do not wish to become amputees or otherwise disabled. The shrinks have this completely wrong. We experience that same sort of attraction which causes one to say 'I fancy him/her something wrotten', just as some are attracted by big/small boobs, shapley legs or a nice bum.
