The fact that the legs are so long and that the colour looks like it is very old
they have huge legs and a tiny body
The "Daddy long legs" crane-fly is an insect, with 6 long legs, a small thin line as a body, and wings. There is also a "daddy long legs spider" of somewhat similar appearance though as a spider, is obviously wingless and with 8 legs.
it feels sticky
A daddy long leg is a type of spider with a small body and long, thin legs. They are usually light brown or gray in color and have a round body with long, delicate legs that can be up to several inches in length.
The most common use of the expression daddy longlegs is for a crane fly which is an insect, with six legs. It has 6 legs and 2 antennae that look like legs so that is why everybody thinks that daddy long legs have 8 legs. Daddy longlegs is also used, in North America, the UK, Australia and New Zealand for some types of spider and harvestman, both of which have eight legs. So this question does not have a simple answer.
I dont know look it up in a book instead of ont the Internet you lazy retard.
This gets confusing because the name "daddy long-legs" is spelled a variety of ways, and is applied to different, unrelated animals. Here in the U.S., a "daddy long legs" usually means an arachnid properly called a "harvestman," in the order Opiliones. They look like spiders, but have only one body segment instead of the two that spiders have. Also, harvestmen are not venomous like most spiders are. "Daddy long legs" is also frequently misapplied to long-legged spiders properly called "cellar spiders" in the family Pholcidae. Pholcids spin webs, whereas harvestmen, which are not spiders, do not spin webs. Lastly, in the United Kingdom, "daddy long legs" usually means crane flies in the family Tipulidae. Crane flies look like enormous mosquitoes, but crane flies do not bite.
She wears shorts witch makes her legs look longer, but yeah i know what your talking about.
Sounds like a common wolf spider they are small but bigger than some other spiders which makes look like it is kinda small it has long legs almost like a daddy long leg it also has a brown head
It depends on exactly what species you are identifying as "daddy long legs".The name daddy long legs can refer to several species or differing classifications. These are:Harvestman - This species is not a true spider although it is classed as Arachnida, as it has eight legs. It is commonly called either "daddy long legs" or "grand daddy long legs" in the USA and is found worldwide, with over 6,400 species. There is a myth about these creatures being the most venomous of spiders, but its jaws are too small to bite, however this is a complete fallacy, as none of these species have venom glands or fangs. They are completely harmless and are not poisonous.Crane fly - These are typically known as daddy long legs in the UK. They are a long legged flying insect that can be found all over the world. There are over 14,000 identified species.Cellar Spider - This is the only true spiderknown by the name "daddy long legs". In fact all members of the family Pholcidae are group with this name. They are found commonly all over the world and again are easily recognised by their long legs. Again the myth says they are the most venomous spider in the world, but this is again untrue for the same reason as above.
YES, they do!!!!! It happened today, I couldn't believe it but I say the whole thing. A white tail ran across the wall and got caught in the daddy long legs web. The daddy long leg ran straight in and bit the white tail before he knew what hit him. The daddy long leg then stayed at a distance and started putting more and more webs out. The white tail got more and more tangled and eventually paralysed and the daddy long legs wrapped him up. Tonight I had a look and he is sucking him dry. Mmmmm yum! I would have never believed it if I never saw it with my own two eyes. cheers Paul
the best way is to roll up a piece of toilet roll really thick and put your hands around it and then it will look as though it is a hand then basically grab the long legged fiend and fluch it down the toilet :( Or just get spraypaint! j.k. you should something sticky and put it round where the spider is and itll get stuck, then smush it and do whatever
