Equipment that does not come stock on the vehicle.
An aftermarket is the market for goods and services surrounding capital purchase of business equipment and software, or the industry which serves this market.

The electrical equipment market for internal combustion engines is divided into two categories: original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and aftermarket.
OEM always means "Original Equipment Manufacture" This simply means, it is made by the company that made the equipment and not by an aftermarket manufacture. It doe's not mean it is bettor or worse.
Aftermarket definition, the market for replacement parts, accessories, and equipment for the care or enhancement of the original product. This is irrelevant based on model of car.
No, because some are preformed. However, if someone in your area has the right equipment, they can customize an exhaust system for your vehicle.
Aftermarket auto parts are the parts that don't come as part of the car when you purchase it and are installed later to either improve the performance of the car or its looks or both. Aftermarket car parts are made by a company other than the manufacturer of the car. Parts made by the manufacturer of the car are known as Original Equipment Manufacturer or OEM parts. The aftermarket auto parts business has become heavily competitive and many dealers and suppliers offer parts for cars of almost all makes and models. Aftermarket parts usually cost less than the OEM parts.
No, of course not, just like many automobile manufacturers John Deere allows companies to make aftermarket parts for their equipment. Companies like A&I and SMA offer comparable parts at marked down prices. You can also go to junk yards and get parts from salvage equipment. The best way to insure a good fit is to get a John Deere replacement part, but you can always fix it close to new with aftermarket or used.
Having sold and installed many clutches, I have learned not to use an rebuilt or remanufactured clutch. I would only use a NEW aftermarket or original equipment clutch regardless of brand name. Toyota buys their component parts from vendors so often the aftermarket item is the exact same clutch you would buy if you got it right from Toyota. I hope this helps a little. Mark
I don't believe that hitches were ever standard equipment on Jeeps, it would have been an aftermarket install in which case yu need to check the size of the receiver.
Using solely original equipment, no. It can be done, but may require aftermarket parts or self-manufacture of the mount and bracket.
Typically in 12v aftermarket equipment, Red is 12v positive (+) switched, Yellow is 12v constant and Black is negative (-) But there is no standard. OEM (original equipment Manufacturer) Factory equipment uses different colors for different manufacturers. Red, Yellow and Black have no relationship to + or - and may or may not be power wires. Never wire anything without an installation wiring diagram.
