one of them, which is found in the heart of Africa, is the 'boum boum' (Boom boom in english). The people of boum boum are a very musical group who use large drums to help grow their crops. They believ that the spirit of sound will prosper their work with music. When i was in africa, the locals tolld me that every fortnight a celebration took place for the spirit of sounds, and large drums played all night. the boum boum tribe has it's own language called the 'pouwa'. it is a very happy sound and is never harsh. the boum boum people live near the west south side of africa.
