An Amerdian is a United States Citizen of both European and Native American Indian heritage. An Amerdian has no ties to any tribe or family still living on any United States Indian Reservation due to the concerted effort by the United States Government and the Bureau of Indian Affairs to assimilate the Native Americans into the Euro-American culture during the 20th Century. Integration of Native American tribes into the Euro-American culture continues to the present day.

Often Amerdians are perceived as having been assimilated. However, some Native American Indians feel a particular sense of being from another society. Many do not "feel" as if they belong in a primarily "white" European majority society, despite efforts to socially integrate them.

An Amerdian will have a genetic heritage that is rooted in one or more of any of the Native American Indian tribes such as Cheyenne, Chickasaw, Ojibwe, Dakota, etc., along with genetic heritage from one or more of any of the European Nations such as Britain, Ireland, France, Germany, Norway, etc.
