An Aucklander is a native or resident of Auckland, New Zealand.
An Aucklander. Some New Zealanders outside of Auckland also refer to them as JAFAs (which stands for Just Another $#$#@ Aucklander)
Though not an Aucklander, the main racial groups in that city would be European (Caucasian), Maori, other Polynesian, East Asian (China, Korea, Taiwan, Japan), and West Asian ( India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri lanka, and so on).I'd certainly consider that the East Asian racial group was distinguishable from that of West Asia, and that these groups shared more in themselves than they shared with each other.
This really depends on the type of things you like but as an Aucklander here are a few of my favourites... - The Auckland Museum - The domain - The shops in Ponsonby, Krd and Queen Street (and the little streets around these areas) - Mt Eden - The beaches Herne bay, Bethels beach etc - The cafes in Kingsland - Trips on the ferry to Waiheke Island or Rangitoto and I find that Auckland is great to just explore on the buses, going to less touristy places Dominion rd, Grey lynn, anywhere you can find. But that might just be me as a local :)
New Zealand is a fantastic place to live, you have freedom, fresh air and space to breathe, friendly people and friendly environments. We also have the best rugby team in the world, The All Blacks.
