There are numerous Australian cities located on the western side of the Tasman Sea. the largest is Sydney, the capital of New South Wales. other cities include Wollongong, Newcastle and Port Macquarie.

Theoretically, Hobart (the capital of Tasmania) is not actually on the Tasman Sea, being separated from the Tasman by several bays.
