US Coins have never used an N mint mark. You may be seeing something that was added to the coin after it was struck, or if it's a worn walking Liberty half, it might be part of the designer's monogram which consists of an intertwined A W.
Not being certain which half dollar you have, I can tell you that there was never an "A" or a "N" mint mark. The letters you should find will be a "D", an "S", an "O", a "P" or a "CC"
The value of a 2010 gold Mandela half oz mint mark medallion can depend n a few things. The value goes by the weight, diameter and the thickness.
It is above and between the 9 n 7 of the date on the front of the coin
The San Francisco Mint struck 3 different bicentennial Kennedy halves. A copper-nickel proof, 40% silver proof and a 40% silver uncirculated coin. The C/N proof is $1.05, both 40% coins have the same value of $6.00.
Sorry no "N" mint marks on a Indian Head cent. But there is a "S" mint mark and that coin has retail values of $300.00-$900.00 for a circulated coin.

All Walking Liberty Half dollars from 1940 to 1945 regardless of mintmarks are very common even in uncirculated condition. The letters (AW) you see under the tail feathers are the designers A.A. Weinman monogram. A typical Mint State example of an 1944 coin is in the $30.00-$35.00 range.

A mint condition uncirculated L/N prefix is about $65. A crisp circulated one is about $8.
