Stenosis is term for narrowing. Stricture also can be used. Stenosis oesophagicus or Strictura oesophagica could be the latin terms. An esophageal stricture is a narrowing of the esophagus, the passageway from the throat to the stomach.Chronic esophageal stricture is a common complication of chronic gastroesophageal reflux disease.
