An ajask as a type of African elephant. The were first found in Maharani ( in North Africa ) in the 1820's. They are currently an endangered species because they are becoming growingly popular food sources for tradition African people because 90% of its body parts a eatable . Estimates have been made and the whole Ajask elephant population will be extinct by around 2020. They eat leaves and fruit of any near by trees and are often found in the driest parts of African deserts. Their tough skin can handle the highest of temperatures and there dense bones means that they can last up to 14 days without water. An average Ajask elephant can live up to 60 years in the wild. Ajask Elephants are not found in any zoo's around the world because they are very aggressive towards humans even when they have been fully rehabilitated.
