What is an ancient Mayan city that is now in Honduras?

You must be refering to the city of Copan; people make a big deal of it because it generates a lot of tourist revenue, also, it was one of the first Mayan cities to be unearthed by archaeologists. In order of tribal population size, there were the native American groups of Honduras;

1) The Lenca, who are found mostly in the center and southwestern portion.

2) The Misquito, who are found primarily in the eastern and northern portion.

3) The Maya, a small minority, but nevertheless present, found mostly in the west. Many Hondurans claim Maya ancestry because the Lenca and Maya intermarried freely with one another. Its impossible to tell though; even with a genetic study, all that would appear is "yes, you're native American."

Tell them something they don't already know........ perhaps someday, within groups, genes may be isolated even further.
