fairy idol kanon is not an anime yet.
I suppose another one would be Idol Tenshi Youkoso Yoko.
Some music-related anime: Mermaid Melody, Chance Pop session, and Lovely Idol.
If you mean in Mermaid Melody then technically yes. All 3 of them took Mitsuki-sensei's music class and were required to sing, I don't watch the anime much so I don't know if they sang at school. I know they do an Idol show at the Pearl Baths/ Hotel in the Anime.
Uhm.... do you mean Lovely Idol, maybe? It's the only one i know....
Anime, anime, everythang anime, bag anime, watch anime.. And it goes on and on.
It was in the UK and it was called Pop Idol. That is true, but out of all of these, it was American idol. Its first episode was in 2000. Australian idol aired just a year after in 2003 and Asian idol aired in 2007.
Websites that offers a database of different anime characters are Anime - Plant, Anime Character Database, Anime - Source, Absolute - Anime, My Anime List, Anime News Network.

Aston Has An Idol And His Idol Is Micheal Jackson
If you want an anime that strays away from action, there are many out there to choose from that don't contain blood. A few of my personal favourites which I suggest checking out are Love Live School Idol Project, Shinryaku! Ika Musume, Hanasaku Iroha, Kiniro Mosaic and Saki. But if you want to stick with action but less bloody, you could always try something like Girls Und Panzer, Gargantia, Shakugan No Shana, (Which if I remember correctly does contain blood, but no where near to the scale of violence in anime such as Akame Ga Kill, Higurashi and Shingeki No Kyojin.) and the vast majority of mecha anime out there. Too be fair though, there are so many anime out there that aren't bloody, your best bet would be to look at some anime suited to genres you prefer and going from there.
Well, I think that Willow smith's idol has got to be Rihanna.
