Several tokens could well serve. Traditionally a small chalice and patern, for use when traveling was given; but these are now even more expensive, and liturgical practice makes them less useful. A book of Celtic blessings is always helpful, since they tend to be imaginative and more lyrical than modern English texts - if you can find one! A Stole - a liturgical 'scarf' - is also appropriate - have it in green or white though - to allow more fitting liturgical use. depending on the dgree of 'traditionalism' of the ordinand, an individual set of containers for Holy Oils would be appropriate too - but also probably expensive!

The same with book protectors, leather book cases, or priestly supplies (except for clerical suits and clerical collars).
