Ascending myelitis was a complication common with previously used 'Semple's vaccine'. Now out dated. ( It had a protection rare of only 50 % as against to-days vaccines having almost 100 % protection rate.)( 18 patients died of 'vaccination' in initial days of vaccine used.) In case of 'modern' vaccines like HDCV, Vero-monkey cell culture vaccine, Chicken embryo cell vaccine, you get ascending myelitis in say 1 in 10,000 to 1 in 30,000 patients. Killing the most of them. It is probably allergic reaction. In this you have damage to the covering cells of the neurons. Ascending means this process starts in periphery and goes towards brain. This risk is negligible as compared to the almost 100 % Death Rate in rabies.
