In the original Spyro games, Avalar was the universe in which "Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage" (also known as "Gateway to Glimmer") was set. In "The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon", Avalar is a level in which you encounter the cheetah village and a weird old hermit.

LoS was made to reinvent Spyro and allow for expansion. The next game is likely to continue in the lOS universe, but nothing is certain yet. Dawn of the Dragon was NOT the last Spyro game. At the end of the game Spyro and Cynder were flying in what is believed to be the Valley of Avalar. NOT heaven. You see this scene after the end credits, Ignitus is alive and well with the Chonicler, who is looking at the Book of the Dead. There is no sign of Spyro or Cynder in the book, meaning that they are alive. Ignitus takes on the role of the Chronicler and as the camera zooms in on the gem around his neck, the scene of Spyro and Cynder flying together (playing chase) appears. Again, they are believed to be in Avalar, and they are absolutely not in heaven. There will be more games in the future, but no one knows when the next will be released.
How do you get to Avalar in spyro shadow legacy?
After you find the missing cheetah guy (whose name I can't remember...), you must laboriously move the boats across the water for him to gain the other's trust. Then, Hunter should be able to show you the way out of the area and into Dragon City.

I hope she isn't :'( Cynder is the awesomest dragon of all time. But I think she and Spyro did die... *sad face* Aww, don't be sad! To access the third world in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! for the PS2, you need to first complete the second world, Avalar, and collect enough Talismans from its levels. After obtaining the required number of Talismans, head to the portal that leads to the third world, Summer Forest. Once there, you can explore new levels and challenges. Make sure to also collect orbs and other items to progress further in the game.

I beat the game, and yes, Ignitus becomes the new Chronicler! Apparently, Spyro and Cynder are still alive, because before The Chronicler (before Ignitus) dissappears in a blue light, he says that in a certain book, when a dragon dies, a page is added to it, and he can't find Spyro in it. Then it shows Spyro and Cynder flying above a field, probably in Avalar. well ofcorse its avilar!!!!!!!!!! look where that enlite enimy is notice the big long rock???
Did spyro hear cynder say that she loves him?
I think Spyro might not have heard Cynder say that she loves him because there was a lot of noise in that scene. On top of that, Cynder only whispers her secret so it is not likely that Spyro heard her. I think he did cause in the last scene they're flying in a beautiful valley(probably in Avalar)and they look pretty in love to me. What is the story to the legend of spyro?
In the previous game, Spyro encased himself, Cynder, and Sparx in a Time Crystal to prevent the Well of Souls from collapsing on them and killing them. Three years later, a group of Grublins, led by a Hero Orc, find the crystal with the party inside. After breaking the crystal, the Grublins take out two snake-like necklaces and put them on Spyro and Cynder. After a minute, they wake up, only to be attacked by grublins with Sparx nowhere to be found. Later, they are attacked by the Golem, but luckily, Hunter saves them. After that incident, they travel through the catacombs until they arrive at Twilight Falls, and continue onto the Enchanted Forest. As they are resting and attempting to get the chain off, a strange beam of light travel through the air and proceeds to knock everyone unconscious. When they wake up, the trio discover they are in Avalar, chained to a totem-like pole. After convincing Chief Prowlus to let them go if they find Meadow, who has mysteriously disappeared, they head out. When they find Meadow, they realize his leg is broken and have to go to a cheetah who has the key to a raft that can be used to take Meadow back. When they find him, he torments Cynder about her past. When they walk away, Sparx reveals to have stolen the key. They get the raft, and Prowlus admits he was wrong and apologizes. Hunter then proceeds to take them to Warfang, only to realize it is under attack. After a series of events, including being separated from hunter and saving many moles from a fire, Spyro and Cynder run past Cyril who tells them to follow him as they ignore him, and he amusingly remarks "Or ignore me at your own peril. Whatever." After fighting a troll and a golem, they finally meet up with Ignitus and the other Guardians. There is a long conversation, followed by Malefor appearing in a hologramic crystal and Spyro discovering about something called the Destroyer which is trying to destroy the world, and then Spyro and Cynder and Sparx have to go underground and find a way to open a door...(Or something...I apologize, I haven't played the game in a little while.) Then after going to an underground tunnel, Cynder gets a good idea to stop the Destroyer, by filling the dam with water. After attacking the Destroyer, he somehow manages to get out of the water and continue his round. Ignitus, Spyro, and Cynder soon head to the Belt of Fire where the Destoyer went, unfortunately having to leave Sparx behind. Ignitus has to sacrifice himself to protect Spyro and Cynder, which horrifies Spyro and makes him go dark for a minute, after which Cynder calms him down. They continue on, until they get past the Burned Lands and the Floating Islands, and confront Malefor. malefor toys with Cynders' mind, which makes her doubt herself long enough for her to be susceptible to darkness, which Malefor takes advantage of. After Spyro manages to free Cynder, a fight begins, and in the end they defeat Malefor and he is imprisoned in the core of the world, only to realize it's too late and the world is falling apart. Spyro decides to sacrifice himself, and Cynder refuses to leave. Then Spyro fixes the world, and something else happens that I won't say, and then WATCH AFTER THE CREDITS, because it reveals all!
