This is a closed cycle as used in heat engines. There are various types but a widely used one is the Rankine cycle used in power plants. In this water is pumped into a heat exchanger (boiler if you like) where it is heated, turns to steam, which is then expanded in a steam turbine down to a vacuum, providing the energy that drives the turbine. The steam is then condensed by the cooling water in the turbine condenser, so that it exits at more or less ambient temperature and low pressure, then it is compressed and pumped back into the heat exchanger, completing the cycle.
In this way energy is transferred from the heat source (coal or natural gas furnace or nuclear reactor) to do mechanical work in the turbine, which drives the generator.
You gain Potential Energy as you cycle up a hill.
The water cycle requires heat energy. It comes from sun.
Yes, it certainly does.It uses the energy made in light reaction. In calvin cycle CO2 is reduced to glucose
The main source of energy in the water cycle is the sun/Solar radiation (sunlight).the source of energy that drives the water cycle is the sun because since the sun's heat makes the water evaporate which will led to the whole process of the water cycle and the process will keep on repeating. The water cycle or hydrologic cycle is driven by both short wave radiation from the sun, and long wave (infrared) radiation from the earth.
Photosynthesis
Sun is the source of energy. Energy cycle comes from it.
The energy source behind the water cycle is solar energy. It is the only energy which initiates water cycle.
Solar energy is the source of energy behind the carbon cycle.
The energy that drives the water cycle is from the Sun.
Source of energy is the sun.
The sun is the source of energy that creates the water cycle.
The matter of the food passes in a cycle; the energy does NOT. The energy comes from the Sun, is used here on Earth, and most of the energy is eventually radiated out into space. There is no cycle there.
Solar energy is the source of energy behind the carbon cycle.
Energy from the sun
Sun provides energy for earth's water cycle. It provides thermal energy for evaporation.
The energy cycle related to ecosystem is the transformation of bio-geochemical energy. This is able to link biotic and abiotic factors and cycle nutrients which forms the ecosystem.
