∙ 7y agoWounded Knee, located on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in southwestern South Dakota, was the site of 1890 conflicts between the Lakota Native American Indians and the U.S. 7th Cavalry Regiment. The conflicts resulted in the death of at least 150 Indians and 25 soldiers.
