Gravity.
Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation was simple, but failed to explain motions like the precession of Mercury, so for greater accuracy we now use Einstein's Relativity. As relativity is incompatible with quantum physics we will probably eventually replace it with something more complex and more accurate.
Unless we just want an estimate, then we use the old simple one that's not quite right, but is close-enough.

∙ 9y agothe theory that all planets and sun revolve around earth
Some one proves it wrong.
A theory, when proven over time, can become a law. Example: Law of Gravity and Theory of Evolution
whenever an experiment fails to confirm the theory it is no longer a theory ... it becomes a hypothesis
A scientific theory is not the same as a scientific law because a law is already proved and used but theories can be changed by other scientists is the view of a 13 year old girl.

Theories can be changed or rejected if and when the scientific evidence no longer supports the theory.
Proof of it being wrong or another improved and better theory.
the theory that all planets and sun revolve around earth
e=mc2
That the world was flat. And there was no other planets.

Whenever new data shows that its wrong.
Hello i am minakshi answer is that the big bang theory is an example of old scientific theory as big bang theory explains that there was an explosion but the isotropy and the homogenity of the universe is not explained by big bang theory to explain his we connect inflatation theory with big bang theory to explain it so the big bang theory is also an example of old scientific theory.
